OWENS STYMIES RHINOS OFFENSE
Chinatrust Brothers starting pitcher Rudy Owens had all the questions tonight, and frankly, the EDA Rhinos had very few answers.
Owens put in seven strong innings and the Brothers offense scored 11 times, including a six-run sixth, on a whopping 16 hits. Three of those hits came courtesy of Brothers third baseman Chiang Chih Hsien, who continues to rip the cover off the ball, going 3-for-5 with a home run (3) and three RBIs.
The one bright spot for the Rhinos was leadoff hitter Hu Chin Lung, who went 3-for-4, bringing his season average up to .600.
The same two teams are in for some doubleheader action tomorrow in Kaohshiung, with opening pitch at 1:05 pm and then 5:05 pm.
