JURRJENS ALLOWS 5 IN FIRST

The Lamigo Monkeys offense has been rolling to start the year. Tonight they finally got some pitching help to pick up their first win of the young season. 

The Monkeys jumped all over Lions starter Jair Jurrjens, putting up five runs in the top of the first and giving starter Orlando Roman a comfortable lead to work with. 

The Lions did make it interesting by scoring four times in the fourth (though two runs were unearned), but they allowed Lamigo to pull away in the top of the sixth thanks to back-to-back-to-back bases-loaded walks. 

Jurrjens falls to 1-1 on the season, while Roman moves to 1-0. 

The two teams play a doubleheader in Chiayi tomorrow, with game times scheduled for 1:05 pm and 5:05 pm.
