The Chinatrust Brothers have released pitcher Kohsuke Tomita, the club announced on Tuesday.
Tomita was signed to a tryout on May 7. He appeared in one game for the Brothers' second team on May 27, pitching four innings of scoreless relief. He allowed two hits, struck out six and walked three.
The press release from the club stated that the 28-year-old did not live up to expectations. However, the Brothers currently have a bit of a log jam with import pitchers and that likely factored into their decision as well. The club currently has the maximum of three import players on the first team (Nate Long, Robert Morey and Andy Sisco), plus Bryan Woodall on the second team.
