- Rhinos starter Scott Richmond has had mixed results vs. the Lions this year and was 2-2 coming into tonight's matchup. In the two wins, he went 11 innings while scattering seven hits for three earned runs. In his two losses, he threw 8.2 innings for 14 earned runs on 16 hits. He was let off the hook after the Rhinos came back to win. His final line: 5.1 IP, 7 H, 6 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 4 K.
- Lions starter Jair Jurrjens had lost three starts in a row coming into today's game but didn't factor into the decision after the bullpen blew his quality start. His final line: 6 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 5 K.
- On May 5, Lions OF No. 8 Luo Guo Lung was hitting a robust .420, since then he is just 13-for-66.
- Rhinos OF/DH No. 15 Hu Chin Lung returned to the lineup after having been sidelined since May 7 due to a hand injury. He singled in his first at-bat, depositing the first pitch safely into right field. He finished 1-for-3 with a run, a walk and a stolen base.
- It was a tough game for Rhinos 3B No.51 Yu Mong Xiong as his error would lead to the game's first run and he would finish the game 0-for-3 and is 0-for-13 over his last three games.
- Rhinos No. 59 Luo Kuo Lin has a seven-game hit streak and is 7-for-15 in his last four contests.
- EDA leads the season series 8-6 and the Rhinos are 4-1 vs. the Lions in their last five contests. The men in purple are also on a five-game winning streak and are 1.5 games behind the Brothers for first place.
