With the first half of the 2016 CPBL season coming to an end, we decided to ask a few members of the media some questions about the year so far, and what to expect in the second half. This is part three of a six-part series.
Who was the most valuable pitcher of the first half?
Rob Liu, CPBL Reddit
EDA Rhinos SP No. 39 Mike Loree. “Loree is just stable and consistent with his performance. With him on the mound, the management will know today will be a rest day for the bullpen.”
Travis Wu, Now News
EDA Rhinos SP No. 39 Mike Loree. “He always controls the game. Even though he’s seen a lot of good hitters of the past two years, he still wins and keeps a low ERA.”
Josh Inglis, CPBL English
EDA Rhinos SP No. 39 Mike Loree. “Goes deep in his starts and gives his team a much better chance of winning when he is on the mound.”
Brandon DuBreuil, CPBL English
EDA Rhinos SP No. 39 Mike Loree. “The reigning triple crown winner could very well repeat this year.”
Much like the offensive MVP, it’s unanimous - Mike Loree takes home the award for most valuable pitcher of the first half.

Ironman Mike has been #1 since 2013 when he was A Lamigo Monkey!
ReplyDeleteThey should have kept him in Taoyuan. If you don't know this he shut out the Korean Samsung Lions during the Asia Series in Busan, Korea!
GO GO MIKE!
