  • The game was interrupted by a long rain delay after just half an inning, but would resume with both starters, Mike Loree and Bruce Billings, staying in the game. The Lions would pot four runs in the fourth, three coming from a Chen Yung Chi bases-clearing double. The Lions' lead would not last long, as the Rhinos would tie the game at four in the sixth with a trio of two-out hits. The Rhinos added three more in the seventh thanks to three singles, two walks and a sac-fly.
  • Lions 2016 first-round pick Su Chih Jie finished the game 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. He is hitless in his first three CPBL contests, hitting 0-for-11.
  • The win snaps a three-game losing streak for Rhinos' SP Mike Loree vs. the Lions. 
  • Rhinos' Hu Chin Lung finished the game 3-for-5 with two runs and a double. 
  • Rhinos catcher Feng Ke Wei has hit safely in seven straight games and has recorded an RBI in four straight. 
  • With the win, the Rhinos move back into first place by half a game over the Lions. 
  • The Lions still lead the season series 16-12.
