Box Score & Game Highlights

Game Notes:
  • After exiting early in his last appearance, Brothers RP Robert Morey started the seventh inning and gave up a two-run home run to Rhinos' Kao Kuo Hui. The bomb would cut the Brothers' lead to 7-5. Morey would stay in for the eighth and end up surrendering three more runs, including the Lin Che Hsuan go-ahead sacrifice fly. The loss is Morey's first since moving to the bullpen and first since May 11.
  • Both starting pitchers went six innings and neither factored into the decision. Rhinos' Jared Lansford allowed seven runs (six earned) on eight hits and three walks while striking out six. Brothers starter Cheng Kai Wen was in line for the win after giving up three runs, all earned, on nine hits and a walk while whiffing three.
  • Rhinos OF Kao Kuo Hui's 24th home run ties him for the league lead with Brothers 2B Lin Chih Sheng.
  • Brothers No. 11 Chiang Chih Hsien is as hot as it gets. He finished 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI, raising his batting average to .393 in the process. In the 59 games he has played this year, Chiang has only gone hitless in five of them. He also has a 27-game streak of reaching base safely.
  • The win snaps a four-game losing streak for the Rhinos but the Brothers still lead the season series 16-8.

Comments

  1. Pitching continued to be Brothers' Achilles Heels and it isn't likely to resolve anytime soon when no one has clue on how to remedy the problem (T_T)
