  • After tying the game in the seventh thanks to a Lo Guo Long RBI single, Lions' Cheng Kai Wen ripped a go-ahead RBI double to deep center field to score the game's winning run in the eighth. Reliever Chen Yun Wen would retire three of the four Rhinos he faced in the ninth to secure the victory and push the Lions back into first place by half a game. 
  • Lions 2016 first-round pick Su Chih Jie finished the game 0-for-4. He struck out twice, including once looking with the bases loaded while trailing by a run in the sixth. He is hitless in his first two CPBL contests. Defensively, he also committed his second error in as many games. 
  • Rhinos' Hu Chin Lung didn't start tonight, but came in as a pinch hitter in the ninth. He would ground out to end the game, ending his 21-game on-base streak. 
  • After missing yesterday's game, Rhinos' Kao Kuo Hui started and went 1-for-4. He hit his league-tying 25th home run in the first inning. 
  • With the win, the Lions move back into first place. 
  • The Lions lead the season series 16-11.
