- Coming into tonight's game, Lions SP Bruce Billings was 4-0 vs the Monkeys over seven starts and carrying a 2.22 ERA. Tonight's performance was no different than the rest. The league leader in wins allowed just three hits and a walk over six innings of one-run ball. He also becomes the league's first 10-game winner and the first to reach 100 strikeouts.
- Over his last six starts, Lamigo SP Orlando Roman had allowed 32 runs (30 earned) in 35.1 innings of work. He does, however, have 43 strikeouts over that stretch.
- Bruce Billings lowered his ERA from 4.47 to 4.31 and now leads the league in ERA, wins and strikeouts.
- Lamigo's Wang Po Jung could not extend his on-base streak after going 0-for-4 with a strikeout. The streak ends at 15 games.
- Lions No. 69 Lin Chih Hsiang went 3-for-5 with 4 RBI and extended his hit streak to 13 games and on-base streak to 18 games.
- Lions SS and No. 9 batter Huang En Tzu finished the day 3-for-5 with three runs. The three-hit showing raised his batting average to .296.
- Monkeys RF Yang Yao Hsun has an eight-game hit streak and also stole his 13th base of the year. He is a perfect 13-for-13 on the base paths in 2016.
- Tonight's win marks the sixth in a row by the Lions and they now lead the Monkeys by two full games. The season series is also tied 13-13.
