  • Making his 2016 CPBL season debut, Lamigo starting pitcher Zack Segovia was flawless through seven innings, but then gave up a two-run homer in the top half of the eighth to pinch-hitter Yang Kuan Wei. That would be the end of Segovia's night as the Monkeys would go to closer Chen Yu Xun to protect the 4-2 lead with one out in the eighth. Chen would record the final five outs and his eighth consecutive save, helping Segovia collect his first win in a Lamigo uniform.
  • Coming into tonight's matchup, Rhinos SP Mike Loree was 4-1 with a 2.95 ERA vs. the Monkeys this year. The loss is Loree's first this season at Taoyuan Stadium.
  • Monkeys Chu Yu Hsien had 5 RBI tonight, which is a personal best.
  • Rhinos No. 66 Chang Chien Ming reached the 1,300-hit mark tonight, becoming just the sixth CPBL player to do so.
