Game Notes:

  • Game MVP Chang Chih Hao got the scoring started in the first with an RBI triple and added a solo home run in the eighth to give the Brothers pitchers enough support to hold off the Rhinos and help the Chinatrust squad earn their sixth win in their last seven games. 
  • Rhinos SP Scott Richmond saw his record fall to 9-9 on the season to no fault of his own. The steady right-hander settled down after allowing three runs in the first two innings and recorded his 11th quality start. 
  • The Brothers pitchers stifled the Rhinos tonight, scattering just four hits in total. Starter Nick Additon turned things over to the bullpen after allowing just three hits over his five-plus innings of work, and the recently successful relievers managed to keep the Rhinos bats at bay, surrendering just one hit (a solo home run) in 3.1 innings of work. 
  • Rhinos CF Lin Che Hsuan had his 19-game hit streak snapped after going 0-for-4.
  • Brothers LF Chou Ssu Chi has a 15-game hit streak. 
  • With his 32nd home run of the season, Rhinos Kao Kuo Hui now has the outright lead in long balls.
