Game Notes:

  • A night after allowing 16 runs, the Rhinos got their revenge by shutting down the Brothers to avoid being swept. The Brothers had no answer for Rhinos starting pitcher, Tsai Ming Chin, who breezed through the Brothers lineup with ease, firing seven strong innings and surrendering just one run on four hits. The win increases the Rhinos lead on top of the CPBL standings and the horned-herbivores now lead by three games heading into the final stretch of the season.
  • Rhinos No. 1 Lin Che Hsuan is on an 18-game hit streak after finishing 2-for-4 with 3 RBI and a home run. He also had the game-winning hit (see video above). 
  • The Brothers were lost at the dish tonight. The usually potent offense sent 31 batters to the plate and only recorded fours hit on 101 total pitches. That is just 3.26 pitches per at bat. 
  • Brothers Hsu Chi Hung failed to record an RBI today to end his streak at seven consecutive games, three short of the league record. 
  • Today's Brothers DH Chou Ssu Chi has recorded a hit in 13 straight. 
  • Rhinos' Hu Chin Lung is on a 21-game hitting streak. 
  • The Rhinos are now 14-4 in September. 
  • The Brothers lead the season series 23-15.
