  • The Rhinos jumped on Monkeys starter Orlando Roman and scored in each of the first five innings for a blowout win, extending their first-place lead to three over the Brothers and 5.5 over the Monkeys.

  • Rhinos SP Mike Loree now leads the CPBL in wins (13) and ERA (4.15). He seems to be heating up at the right time, having allowed two or less earned runs in four consecutive starts. 
  • Rhinos rookie 3B Lee Tsung Hsien hit his first career home run, had three RBI and is now hitting .367 on the season. He was the club's third-round pick in the 2016 draft. 
  • Rhinos CF Lin Che Hsuan has a 19-game hit streak. 
  • Monkeys C Lin Hung Yu extended his on-base streak to 40 games. 
  • Monkeys CF Wang Po Jung has an 11-game hit streak. With a double in the seventh, he tied the CPBL record for extra-base hits in a season with 69. He also extended his single-season hits record to 190.  
  • The Rhinos are 15-4 in September. 
  • The Monkeys have lost four straight and are 4-13 in September.
