Home Runs
Game Notes:
- 38-year-old DH Peng Cheng Ming hit a three-run home run as part of a five-run third inning as the Brothers offense continued to mash Rhinos pitching and now have a 2-0 lead in the Taiwan Series.
- The Taiwan Series has been a tale of the starting pitching, or lack thereof, so far. The Rhinos starters have lasted just 6.2 innings combined in the series so far. By comparison, Brothers starting pitching has thrown 14 innings through the two games.
- The first two games have been taxing on the Rhinos bullpen as they've been forced to use five guys in relief in each of the first two games.
- Brothers SP Nate Long didn't have pinpoint control today but was able to bear down with runners on base and limit the damage from the seven hits and three walks he allowed.
- Peng Cheng Ming is only the fifth player in league history to win back-to-back game MVPs in the Taiwan Series.
- The Rhinos franchise has lost six consecutive games in the Taiwan Series.
- The Brothers lead the best-of-seven series 2-0. Game 3 goes Tuesday, 6:35 p.m. in Taoyuan.
Attendance: 20,000
