Right-handed pitcher Bruce Billings will be returning to the Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions for the 2017 CPBL season, the pitcher confirmed on social media today. As is the norm in the CPBL, terms of the deal were not released.
The 2016 CPBL All-Star spent the entire 2016 season with the Lions, compiling an 11-9 record and a 5.28 ERA. His 172 strikeouts led the league, while his 170.1 innings pitched were good for second best.
The 31-year-old American was originally a 30th-round draft pick of the Colorade Rockies in 2007 and has MLB experience with Colorado, Oakland and, most recently, the New York Yankees in 2014.
