The Fubon Guardians have brought back two key pieces of their championship squad in starting pitchers Mike Loree and Scott Richmond, as reported by ET Today Sports.
Loree is the ace of the staff and has been the best starting pitcher in the CPBL over the past two seasons. He went 13-11 in 2016 with a 3.98 ERA and a 1.35 WHIP over 190 innings, earning league Pitcher of the Year honors in the process.
Richmond enjoyed a nice first season in Taiwan in 2016, posting a 9-9 record over 27 starts and 152.2 innings. His ERA was 4.78 with a WHIP of 1.43.
The Guardians will still sign one more import player to reach the maximum of three. The club is thought to be interested in bringing back 2016 pitcher Jared Lansford, but a deal hasn't been reached yet.
