According to a report from UDN, the Lamigo Monkeys are bringing back RHP Zack Segovia. The American pitcher will join the Monkeys in Japan for the club's spring training, the report states. Segovia confirmed the reports on Sunday.
"I'm really glad. I enjoyed Lamigo and look forward to returning," Segovia told CPBL English.
Segovia joined the Monkeys before the trade deadline and enjoyed some success in his seven starts. The former Uni Lion tossed 46 innings to the tune of a 4.11 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP. He struck out 28, walked just six and recorded four quality starts.
The Monkeys have not made any other announcements regarding their other two foreign investments. No terms of the deal have been released, as is the norm in the CPBL.
