The Fubon Guardians Have Signed LHP Chris Seddon

With spring training rapidly approaching, and the Fubon Guardians and 2016 pitcher Jared Lansford unable to come to terms on a contract, the newest ownership in the CPBL has found a replacement: former Lamigo Monkey LHP pitcher Chris Seddon.

The 6'3'', 33-year-old former fifth-round pick of the Tampa Bay Rays pitched with the Monkeys back in 2015, where he went 4-1 over 10 starts with a 3.56 ERA. He parlayed that solid performance into a higher-paying contract with the Korean Baseball Organization's SK Wyverns for the remainder of the 2015 season. The California native resigned with the Wyverns in 2016 where he went 5-5 over 12 starts with a 5.37 ERA before being released in June later that same year.

Seddon will join a pitching staff of Mike Loree and Scott Richmond who will be looking to repeat as CPBL champions.
