The Uni Lions Have Signed RHP Alfredo Figaro

The Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions have signed pitcher Alfredo Figaro, reports The Apple Daily

The 32-year-old former Detroit Tiger and Milwaukee Brewer will join fellow import players Bruce Billings and Mike DeMark to round out the Lions' foreign player core.

The Dominican Republic-born pitcher has over 114 MLB innings of experience with a 5.04 ERA and 83 strikeouts from 2009 to 2014. The well-travelled hurler has also made stops in the NPB with the Orix Buffaloes in 2011 and 2012, and more recently with the KBO's Samsung Lions in 2015. Figaro signed a minor league deal with the L.A. Dodgers in June of last year and went 3-0 over 10 games with a 2.70 ERA over multiple levels.

Pitchers will report to spring training later this month.
