Lamigo Monkeys' Wang Po-Jung and Zack Segovia led the CPBL All-Stars to an 8-5 win over the Japan World Baseball Classic (WBC) team tonight in an exhibition game in Fukuoka.
Wang, the 2016 CPBL MVP and Rookie of the Year, went 3-for-3 with a home run, single and a double. He also walked and drove in three runs.
Segovia, entering his first full season with the Monkeys after joining the team in the middle of 2016, relieved starter Wang I-Cheng in the third and pitched four dominant innings, allowing just one hit and striking out seven.
The teams will play once more on Wednesday evening.
