- Lin Hung-Yu got the offense rolling with a two-run shot to left in the first and added another in the seventh as the Monkeys cruised to a 10-2 win.
- Lamigo SP Darin Downs, who really struggled in the preseason, put in a quality start, going six innings and giving up two earned runs on four hits, striking out four and walking one.
- Lions second-year LF Cheng Kai-Wen hit his third home run in just 10 at-bats. He hit 24 last year in his rookie season.
