• The Brothers best hitters proved why on Friday night as Lin Chih-Sheng and Chiang Chih-Hsien pulled through with some clutch hitting to help the Brothers win and send the Lions to their fifth straight defeat. With two out and the bases loaded in the seventh, Lin Chih-Sheng tied the game at three with a two-run single off the wall in right. That was followed by a Chiang Chih-Hsien go-ahead two-run double that would give the away team a 5-3 lead that the bullpen would preserve.
• Brothers SP Bruce Kern turned in his third quality outing in his fifth start of the year. The hard-throwing righty went six innings, yielding three runs on six hits while striking out five and walking none. 
• Lions starter Chiang Chen-Yen had his best start of the season, allowing just one unearned run on four hits and three walks over five innings in a no-decision.
• Brothers team captain Peng Cheng-Min went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI in the win. 
• Lions rookie SS No. 24 Chen Chieh-Hsien extended his hit streak to 13 games. 
• Lions 1B and 2016 first-overall pick Su Chih-Chieh committed two errors in the match to bring his season total to four in seven games. He is still a work in progress defensively. The Lions as a whole have committed 11 errors over their five-game losing streak.
