Game Notes:
- Returning to the starting rotation after making an appearance in long-relief last Sunday, Monkeys starter Wang Yi-Cheng carried a no-hitter into the fifth in what was his best start of the season. The lefty went seven strong innings allowing just one run on five hits and a pair of walks en route to his first win. The Monkeys' bullpen was perfect for a second straight night, helping to sweep the two-game series and send the Lions to their fourth defeat in as many games.
- Lions SP Liao Wen-Yang made three starts on the Lions second team (0-1, 5.94 ERA) before being promoted to the first team for tonight's start. The veteran gave up two unearned runs in his debut.
- Wang Po-Jung extended his on-base streak to 20 games and is currently hitting .405.
- Lamigo 2B Kuo Yen-Wen had a big day at the plate. The No. 2 hitter went 4-for-5 and raised his batting average to .423.
- The Lions are really in a tailspin of late. On top of dropping four games in a row, the club has only scored seven runs during the losing streak. They have also committed eight errors over that stretch.
- Lions rookie SS Chen Chieh-Hsien is on a 12-game hit streak.
- Lamigo leads the season series 5-2.
