Game Notes:
- The Fubon Guardians came roaring back from an early 4-0 deficit by scoring 10 unanswered runs before the teams traded crooked numbers late in the 12-7 victory.
- Fubon's comeback began with a four-run second, a comedic inning that included two swinging bunts, a throwing error, two hit batsmen and a questionable call or two from the home plate umpire (see video above).
- Offensively, the Guardians were led by RF Kao Hsiao-Yi's three RBI. Catcher Fang Ke-Wei and third baseman Yang Cheng-Chun each had three hits and two RBI.
- The two teams combined for 29 hits and three errors in a game that lasted just under four hours.
- Anytime that the offenses put up 19 runs, there are going to be some ugly pitching lines. Tonight it was Brothers SP Cheng Kai-Wen (2.2 IP, 6 R, 5 ER) and RP Lin Yu-Ching (1.1 IP, 4 ER), while RP Tsai Ming-Jin had a night to forget for the Guardians (0.1 IP, 3 H, 3 ER).
- The Guardians have won three in a row.
- The Brothers lead the season series 10-5-1.
