Game Notes:
  • Guardians defensive dignitary Lin Che-Hsuan saved the game in the bottom of the tenth with his accurate throw to the plate to nail Chang Cheng-Wei and keep the Guardians alive, a play that was reviewed for what seemed like eternity. The Guardians, losers of five straight, responded in their half of the eleventh after a two-out wild pitch from Chen Hung-Wen sent Kao Kuo-Lin to second before older brother Kao Kuo-Hui knocked him home with a double down the left field line two batters later.  Tseng Sung-Wei would retire the Brothers in order to earn his first career save. The Brothers are now 0-4-1 in extra innings this year. 
  • A two-out hit-by-pitch in the eighth inning opened the doors for the Brothers to score twice and tie up a game in which the Guardians had led since the second batter of the game.
  • The Brothers looked primed to walk off the game in the bottom of the ninth after Guardians closer Ni Fu-Te allowed the first two batters to reach. Ni would dig deep though, getting Chou Ssu-Chi to strikeout, Wang Sheng-Wei to ground into a fielder's choice and getting Su Wei-Ta to line out to extend the game into extras. 
  • Lin Che-Huan and Kao Hsiao-Yi had three-hit games for the Guardians, while Su Wei-Ta and Peng Cheng-Ming also collected a trio of hits each. 
  • Brothers OF Chang Cheng-Wei has raised his on-base streak to 32 games after a double in the seventh.  
  • Chiang Chih-Hsien continued to add to his league-leading home run total with a mammoth solo blast in the second. His reaction can only be described as the exact opposite of a bat flip. Chen Tzu-Hao also added one that reached the last row of the seats.
