Guardians: No. 98 Kao Kuo-Lin (1)
Game Notes:
- Huang Hao-Jan's three-run homer in the sixth helped the Monkeys erase a 2-1 deficit and sealed the three-game sweep for the first-place Monkeys. Starting pitcher Wang Yi-Cheng went seven strong, surrendering two runs on just four hits in the win and Chu Yu-Hsien also contributed with a home run of his own.
- Shadowed behind the Big 3, Wang Yi-Cheng has really found a groove after some early season struggles. The left-hander has gone four straight starts of seven innings and has given up just six runs, good for a 1.98 ERA. The Monkeys entire starting rotation is a juggernaut that cannot be stopped.
- Lamigo manager Hong I-Chung picked up career win No. 700.
- The Guardians had two cracks at tying the game in the top of the ninth with a runner on second but Lamigo closer Chen Yu-Hsun recorded a strikeout and a fly out to send the Guardians to their league-worst 27th lost.
- Wang Po-Jung extended his league-leading on-base streak to 37 games with a walk in the first inning. He finished 1-for-3 and is hitting .425.
- Lamigo leads the season series 11-4.
