Game Notes:
  • Zack Segovia pitched 6.1 innings of shutout ball and SS Lin Cheng-Fei hit his second home run of the season as the Monkeys kept the Guardians winless in Taoyuan in 2017. Lin also won himself a car (for two months) by hitting the Skoda advertisement in the left field bleachers. 
  • Monkeys OF Wang Po-Jung went 3-for-4, raising his average to .427 and extending his on-base streak to 36 games. Wang also became the fastest player in CPBL history to reach 300 career hits (183 games, 843 plate appearances), shattering the record previously held by Fubon's Hu Chin-Lung (215 games, 926 plate appearances)
  • Guardians DH Kao Kuo-Hui homered for the second consecutive game, a two-run shot in the eighth. 
  • Guardians 1B Lin Yi-Chuan was forced from the game with an apparent wrist injury while trying to record an out at first base. 
  • Lamigo leads the season series 10-4.
