Game Notes:
- After pitching 1.2 innings of relief the night before, Brothers closer Chen Hung-Wen served up the game-tying home run to Lions' Chen Yung-Chi with his first pitch in the bottom of the ninth that tied the game at three. Lions closer Mike DeMark would preserve the nine-inning tie game with a perfect ninth. In the CPBL, the first game of a double-header will be no longer than nine innings, hence the abbreviated tie.
- Brothers pitcher Orlando Roman deserved a better fate than a no-decision. The veteran went eight solid innings, allowing two runs on five hits and three walks before turning things over to the bullpen in the ninth.
- Tseng Tao-Jung got the Brothers on the board with a solo home run in the sixth. The blast was his 10th of the year.
- Peng Cheng-Ming broke a 1-1 tie with a single that the Lions' RF allowed to get past him and scored two runs with Peng making it to third.
- Brothers Chang Cheng-Wei has reached base safely in 29-straight games.
