Game Notes:

• Wang Po-Jung ripped the first pitch he saw from Brothers reliever Chiang Chung-Cheng down the right-field line and into the corner for a leadoff triple. Wang would come around to score the winning run on Lin Hung-Yu's walk-off single one batter later. Lamigo needs three more wins in its final four games to break the record for best half in a CPBL season.
• With the win, Lamigo moves to 25-5 on the season at Taoyuan Stadium and sets a new league record for winning percentage at home. 
• Neither starting pitcher factored into the decision tonight. Lamigo's Darin Downs set a career-high with 10 punchouts over six innings. The lefty surrendered four runs—three earned—on six hits and three walks. 
• Brothers SP Bryan Woodall was pitching with a 4-2 lead in the sixth but ran into trouble and served up the game-tying two-run single to Monkeys SS Lin Cheng-Fei before the hook. Woodall allowed four runs on seven hits and four walks. The four walks were a season-high as the right-hander had issued just five free passes in his previous 92 innings this year. 
• The Monkeys surprisingly went to recently overused closer Chen Yu-Hsun in a tie game for the ninth frame. Chen allowed runners at the corners with one out but induced two pop-ups to maintain the status quo.
• The Brothers stole a page out of the Washington Nationals' play calling as they swiped five bags on five tries against the Lamigo battery.  
• The season series is tied at 9-9.
