Game Notes:
- Brothers SS Wang Sheng-Wei hit a go-ahead, two-run double in the seventh inning to help the Brothers erase an early 3-0 deficit. Wang would later score in what would be a ridiculous nine-run frame for the now 5-6 Chinatrust Brothers.
- To say the seventh inning was insane would be an understatement. The Brothers sent 14 batters to the plate, scoring nine runs on six hits, three walks, and a hit-by-pitch. The Lions used five pitchers in what was close to a 40-minute half-inning.
- Lions SP Alfredo Figaro could only watch as his bullpen turned a 3-2 lead into a 10-3 deficit in the same inning that he was relieved in. The righty allowed just five hits -- one homer -- and two earned runs over six stellar frames. Figaro deserved a better fate than a no-decision in what was arguably one of his best starts this year.
- Brothers starter Orlando Roman was taken off the hook thanks in part to the nine-run seventh inning. The CPBL veteran tossed six quality innings, giving up three runs -- two earned -- on eight hits while whiffing seven.
- Lions' heart-throb Chen Chieh-Hsien finished 2-for-3 in the losing cause and now has a league-leading .400 batter average.
- The Brothers' bullpen tossed three no-hit innings in relief tonight. 2016 tenth-round pick Wu Che-Yuan has now pitched 8.1 shutout innings to begin his CPBL career.
