Game Notes:
- Fubon's Lin Yi-Chuan took it upon himself to snap the Guardians' eight-game losing streak as the former back-to-back CPBL MVP launched two long balls in a Sunday beatdown of the Chinatrust Brothers. Fubon SP Chen Ming-Hsuan picked up his first CPBL win (5 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 5 ER, 5 BB, 8 K).
- Seven of the nine Fubon starters had a multi-hit game as they took advantage of the Brothers' fifth starter Pan Wei-Chun (3 IP, 7 H, 6 R, 6 ER, BB, 3 K). Even Fubon's nine-hole hitter, Lin Wang-Wei, went 3-for-5 with a home run versus the generous Brothers pitching.
- Even though the Guardians were hitting on command, Hu Chin-Lung turned in a stinker (0-for-5, BB). The veteran is still rocking a .303 batting average as he is settling in after some first-half injury troubles.
- Brothers' Chan Tzu-Hsien reached base in every one of his five plate appearances. The slugging youngster went 3-for-3 with a pair of walks.
- The Brothers used five pitchers Sunday night. If you add up their ERAs you end up with a 92.04 ERA.
