Game Notes:
- Tang Chao-Ting broke a 3-3 tie in the seventh with a two-out single against Brothers reliever Chen Hung-Wen that scored two as the Lions would add four more runs to cruise to a comfortable 9-3 win in Hualien. The Lions beat up on the Brothers' bullpen to the tune of six runs on 10 hits over four innings. With the victory, the Lions split the two-game series and now find themselves all alone atop the CPBL standings with an 8-4 record.
- Lions SP Bruce Billings has been on a such a good role that tonight was just the second time in his last 10 starts that he has allowed more than two earned runs. The right-hander picked up his seventh win after allowing three runs over six frames. He also struck out eight.
- Brothers SP Cheng Kai-Wen went five innings allowing three runs on seven hits and a pair of walks. With the no-decision, Cheng has won just once in his last 10 starts.
- Lions Chen Chieh-Hsien continues to add to his league-leading batting average. The unstoppable rookie collected four hits and is now hitting .407.
- Brothers Lin Chih-Sheng finished 1-for-4 and is hitting .290 -- nearly 30 points lower than his career .319 mark.
