Game Notes:

  • A night after winning a game in which they committed three errors (although it should've been about six), the Brothers made just one error, but it was a very costly one as pitcher Bryan Woodall's throw to second on a double-play attempt in the third bounced off second baseman Chiang Chih-Hsien's glove and into shallow left field. The error, which was charged to Woodall but could've gone either way, allowed the Guardians to score two unearned runs in the inning and they would go on to win 3-1.
  • Guardians SP Huang Yi-Chih turned in his best start since March 25, going seven innings while allowing one run on five hits. He struck out seven and walked three.
  • Woodall was also quality on Sunday night, giving up three runs -- one earned -- and six hits over seven innings.
  • Having pitched in three straight games, Guardians closer Kuo Hung-Chih was given the night off and Cheng Keng-Hao converted his third save of the season.
  • The Brothers are now half-a-game behind the Lions in the full-season standings.
