Game Notes:

• Guardians Yang Ching-Hao made his big league debut tonight playing second base and batting ninth in the lineup. He had his first hit in the fifth inning. Yang was drafted by the Guardians in in the first round in 2017. (Video)

• Guardians Dai Pei-Fong also made his big league debut tonight. Dai pinch-hit in the ninth inning but struck out. Dai was the No.1 pick in last year's CPBL draft.

• Lions SP Chiang Chen-Yan performed well in his season debut pitching six innings without allowing a run, adding seven strikeouts. After six innings, Lions sent out their end-game formula of Wang Ching-Ming, Chiu Hao-Chun, and closer Chen Yun-Wen to take of the final three innings.

• Guardians SP Henry Sosa pitched an eight inning complete game allowing only one run. He also recorded ten strikeouts but his teammates lack of offense resulted in a tough luck loss. 

• Lions 3B Kuo Fu-Lin hit a double in the fifth inning followed by a Chen Yung-Chi single to left center, allowing Kuo to score the lone run of the night.

• The Fubon Guardians had several scoring opportunities but were not able to capitalize.
